Years ago my conservative, retired LEO uncle, my cop sister and my cop brother in law which are still LEO used to LOVE Rush Limbaugh and were ditto heads.
Guess what, they just thought of him as another junky after that came out nd never uttered the name of the one that should never be spoken of again (except to say he was nothing but another junky).

Blah, blah, blah... Now let me try. Years ago my liberal family hated Rush and the dittoheads. Then after his drug use came out it humanized him and they found the truth in his message and speak of him all the time. :bigwhoop:

Keep rubbing your greasy little paws together, he is still the biggest thing on radio and wields enormous power. I don't listen much to talking heads of any variety but you libs are really driven over the edge by this guy hey?

The news of the drug addiction explained alot to me...but didn't cause me to like him.

Just figured: Well, of course he was hopped up on drugs to spew that stupidity. Didn't say anything about his DruggyHeads, though...

And 32% of America thinks George Bush has always been doing a great job too. If they are loyal to that disaster and since they are the same people and they are also loyal to this disaster, I can see why he has such a large listenership.
He preaches to his congregation, he converts and convinces no one that has not already been idolizing him for many years already. All his larger numbers means is that minority demographic happens to be unified.
Remember, the Greatful Dead had a huge following and wielded enourmous power too......enourmous power among the Deadheads that is.

Oh I know exactly what Rush has been through, I just think it ironic that he was talking about never forgiving drug addicts, deporting them or sending them to jail without mercy and yet he was one that is still in this country, has recieved help for his addiction at partial cost to the state, and fought tooth and nail to stay our of jail instead of following his own ideology and just going to jail as penetance.

I will forgive Rush when he admits he was wrong and asks for forgivness for what he said.
"There's nothing good about drug use. We know it. It destroys individuals. It destroys families. Drug use destroys societies. Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. Unlike Christians, I have no philosophical or religious need to forgive first. One has to earn or ask for my forgiveness before I even consider it.
