Rotten shame. Curious story though - second time his house has been broken into in a week? It doesn't sound random like I would imagine most breaking and entry would be.

I think we should wait to see the results of the investigation before we talk about retiring his jersey.. etc..

Only the good die young? We don't have any background information about the shooting yet to determine if he had done somehting, pissed off the wrong person or had dealings with people that would do this to him.

He wasn't shot feeding the homeless, or providing aid to fire victims.

I'm just curious as to the break-in the week-end before where (supposedly) someone left a knife on his bed.. like they were sending him a message.

I hope I'm wrong and we find out he was a good person, but I have a suspicion that something wasn't right in his world.

Hell of a "feak" shot in the thigh ...severed the femoral artery. They said he suffered massive blood loss....

I feel so sorry for his GF..she was there and I am sure she did all she could to stop the bleeding and help him.

Now..lets hope the cops find the scum that did this....

and the family finds the peace and privacy they gonna need....

In peace and prayers for Sean and his family. +
and all his friends and fans....

There is something in his background felony assault charges or something to do with weapons bullets being fired - don't recall exactly what. Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying he deserved what happened AT ALL. I just think there's something fishy about it also - the knife left on the bed at the first break-in is really strange. Like maybe it was somebody he knew.

Understand his phone lines were cut prior to this break in, so it seems they KNEW someone was home, and it wasn't a simple home break in gone bad.
Seems like their intent wasn't to rob at all, but to shoot.

We're going to have to wait; how long, who knows?

But, last I heard, the police investigators did not have any clues or hints as to who might have done this sordid deed.

A lot of people will not rest until this is resolved, I would imagine.

Really! Did not know that - skimmed through what I read but I'm thinking it was deliberate too - maybe not to kill so much as to warn - kinda like the knife was and the shot in the leg which otherwise might have maimed was a "lucky" (or unlucky as the case may be) shot. Or it may be that I've watched one too many Homicide - Life in the Street episodes this weekend. :) Regardless, I'm suspicious, wonder how this is going to play out and still very sorry to hear about it. Yesterday all I heard was shot in the leg, going to recover. Didn't watch the news last night, this morning I heard on MSNBC that he was 24, which indicated to me he died, but I googled and it was still saying holding his own. Quite a shocker that just a few mintues later they were saying he died.

After the fight, Taylor, friend Michael McFarlane and a man named Charles Caughman went to McFarlane's house in West Perrine, according to court records of the incident. Soon afterward, a silver car pulled up to McFarlane's house and someone opened fire, peppering Taylor's GMC Yukon Denali with bullets. Police found 27 bullet casings outside, and at least 15 shots hit Taylor's car. No one was hit, and the shooting remains unsolved.

And not the first time he was shot at....
