because lord knows they shouldn't be learning anything about social interaction and that there are other options out there than what mommy and daddy want to teach. You'd never tell kiddie that they can be homosexual either, would you? :lmao: :farrightwing:

Yeah and put a 13 year old in charge and teach them what mommy and daddy say is optional and by 14 they will own you. You raise the sluts if you want too... :coffee:

I think eigth grade is middle school but still too young in my opinion.
From the article:

Cappel said part of his concern is that elementary students share a hallway with the junior high students, and children as young as prekindergarten could have seen the shirts. He said thus far, all the parents calling and e-mailing about the issue have supported the district's decision.

Uh oh! My bad. He was correct in his statement. I am making a public apology. :yay:

Unfortanently, kids are having sex in middle school.

These girls took a stand for what they believe in. I don't think the school should take a position on it, but what are you going to do when these kids are listening to music telling them to "Superman that ho?"

This country has gone to hell in a hand basket and there's nothing that can be done about it.

The girls learned a lesson which is good. Something has been overlooked in this whole discussion.

Since when do the inmates run the asylum? Kids don't decide their curriculum. Little mushbrains with raging hormones should stick learning the basics their elders have decided what is best for them to learn.

Get in the back of the 57 Chevy if you need to learn about the failure rate of publicly dispensed condoms from China.

Sorry, but they go to an elementary school. There is no need to be wearing condom packages and messages like that around 5 year olds. Their clothing was unacceptable for the situation. They were asked to change. They refused. They were suspended, and rightly so in my book. When I was in middle school, the principle instituted a dress code. If you failed to adhere, you were offered a chance to change. If you failed to change to meet the dress code, you were sent home for a period of reflection on your actions.

They are 8th graders - this is very much a topic for them and kudos for being educated and standing up for themselves. The packages are a little overboard and they probably should have changed when asked, I will give you that.

Does it matter if 5 year olds learn or hear of this when they have no interest in the act? Why wait until they do, isn't that a little too late? I'm not saying that 5 is the right age, but how old is right in today's society?

I knew what sex was by age 8...doesn't seem too far off

either way, i'd still say 5 is a bit young to be thinking anything about sex, but none of the little ones would have known what the issue was with the girl's shirts if the adults hadn't made it into a big thing

Exactly! I do believe in the suspension, however.

I may be wrong, but to me wearing a shirt with condoms attached and a message that says "safe sex or no sex" implies that if I wear a condom the girls wearing these shirts will have sex with me.

Not a message I would want my daughter sending.

And to me it means..

"You ain't gettin none if you don't wear a rubber."

Which is a viewpoint I WOULD want my daughter to have.

So you dont care if your 8th grade daughter has sex as long as the boy uses a rubber

Eighth grade is later than quite a few girls I know did it

I don't know, my view may change when I do in fact have a daughter, but as of now....I'd rather her practice safe sex in the 8th grade than unsafe sex in highschool or college

Yo Madonna, STFU, don't give advice on something you have NO experience with, understanding sex at age 8 with other little boys is no qualification so your opinion is worthless!!! When you do have a little girl, give me a holla, I'll send you a little pink sweater for her with condoms attached so you can display her around SMIBville...:coffee:

Why not let 3rd graders wear condom shirts with their family value messages on them, 3rd graders are most likely smarter now than you where in the 8th grade, I vote we keep lowering the bar and standards for our children to make the responsibilities of parenting easier...

Maybe when she hits 8th grade you can hook her up with one of your nephews..

We have two girls 14 & 15. Thank gosh they're not boy crazy, yes they like them but also know not to disappoint Mom & Dad. The environment is toxic out there, sex everywhere. Fortunately, we also have grandchildren (no teenage mothers!) so the girls get to see what a PITA having a full time child as a child can be. Cause it's a pain even when you're an adult.
