Safes are not Safe!

For your consideration ...

Have a safe packed with heavy junk in it. The important stuff kept elsewhere, hidden, or buried. If ever it happened to me ..... Pretty sure there will be frustrated looking faces when they see all the worthless shait when they finally get that door open.
Put a couple envelopes with the old rattle snake egg prank inside. Those FBI guys love doing #2 in their drawers.

For your consideration ...

I'm pretty sure that buyers of these safes don't visit Liberty's website. Most likely, most often, see them at a sporting goods store and buy them from the store. Funny though, or not, on their website there is a COMBINATION REMOVAL REQUEST FORM listed under their "miscellaneous" tab. Now who would ever think to do this, or why they would need to do this? And I can't find anywhere on their site that states they can/will provide the combination to any asking law enforcement. Even in their SECURITY AND PRIVACY page, nothing about sharing combinations with law enforcement. Except this ... "Aside from the purposes described above, we will never share your personal information with any other third parties unless we have your express permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the disclosure is required by law." What "law" would require them to disclose to law enforcement a customer's safe combination? Good faith being their out?

So the best advice, is to not buy their safes.

And this is the only mention in their owner's manual about keeping the combination on file ...

This reminds me of my old college room mate bragging how his new car stereo had a detachable face plate so it wouldn't be stolen. I told him all they had to do was order a new one. He insisted proof would have to be provided to get one. Guess what he lost his face plate, called the manufacture and they sent him a new one for $50 no questions asked.

Sounds like an alpine. The most worthless feature ever.

I remember those from when I worked at KMart in the mid-80's.

Oh no, he was too cheap for an alpine. He said he bought the cheapest one that wasn't a Kraco. Before that he had one where the whole thing pulled out and he broke the contacts. Honestly he would have been ahead if he just let someone steal one.
Pioneer.
