Salad

SFW? I got a salad from there on Friday too and believe it's what made me sick too. All I got was field greens, spinach, cauliflower, shredded cheese and green peppers. Nothing else from their bar. I used the dressing I had here at work. Geek would have loved the outcome...:dead:

There has been a stomach bug going around. Maybe it wasn't the salad?

Giant's salad bar I like. I used to like SFW's but now they put the salad fixings out between 8-8:30. When you go closer to 11, the stuff is all dried out and nasty :dead:

I had a salad from Giant yesterday.. too bad you can't sit down in there and eat though!

I like those little ears of corn but man they a pain in the ass to eat.

:killingme

They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

There's the problem, you don't have the tools.

:lmao:

hmmmmmm
field greens, spinach, cukes, chick peas, carrots, light on the red onions, red beets, green beans, sunflower seeds. Dressing, it depends what I'm feeling, balsamic vinaigrette, thousand island, ranch or good ol olive oil and balsalmic vinegar :yay:

Mine was from McKay's. I pretty much had in mine what you had in yours, except I had some broccoli and carrots. I used my dressing here at home. They may get their vegetables from the same supplier, it may not be the store's fault. I don't think I had the stomach bug going around, I started feeling sick within an hour of eating what little bit I ate of it.

It should take longer to hit you than that. 12 hours would be more like it.

Oh, noooooooooooooooooooooo, it doesn't.
Just hope you don't get this one.
Giardia (beaver fever): Causes mild illness with watery diarrhea often lasting one to two weeks. It is transmitted by drinking contaminated water, often from lakes or streams in cooler mountainous climates. The infection can also be spread from person to person by food or other items contaminated with feces from an infected person.

Wasn't there a nasty outbreak of that a few years ago on base ?

Dummy you were wrong again. No soup for you[!/B]

Symptoms of food poisoning depend on the type of contaminant and the amount eaten. The symptoms can develop rapidly, within 30 minutes, or slowly, worsening over days to weeks. Most of the common contaminants cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping. Usually food poisoning is not serious, and the illness runs its course in 24-48 hours

Iceburg lettuce, purple cabbage, grilled chicken, cucumbers, broccoli, lots of chick peas, raisins, pineapple, imitation crab...a fat free dressing - french or a new walnut raspberry that I love :yum:
