This is the first time in my life that I ever got joy out of watching somebody cry!! He was just so smug about still being there. I'm still doing the happy dance about it. He was just plain horrible. :yahoo: :yahoo:

Jennifer Hudson just won an oscar or something... she didn't even win AI.

Clay Aiken is enjoying a nice little career.

Jennifer Hudson...who? I've never heard of her.
Clay Aiken only has a career as the butt of a joke.
Carrie Underwood...I've heard the name, but couldn't name one song that she sings.

What can I say, I don't listen to teeniebop music.

I decided to look up the winners and runner-ups (since they tend to have some popularity for a short period)...

Kelly Clarkson - doing well
Justin "Sideshow Bob" Guiarni - faded fast

Rubin Studdard - looks like he was popular for a while, but that has faded
Clay Aiken - popular at first, but the latest album hasn't done so well

Fantasia Barrino - again, popular at first, but the latest album hasn't done so well
Diana DeGarmo - first album didn't do all that well...working on a second...I predict a flop

Carrie Underwood - doing well
Bo Bice - ummmm, yeah

Taylor Hicks - flash in the pan
Katharine McPhee - little less of a flash compared to Taylor

You must not listen to country either.

At the moment Carrie is proably the hottest female singer. She has just about made a clean sweep of all the awards this year for female singer, and a grammy or two also.

Even Kellie Pickler who came in around fifth last year on Idol is doing quite well in country this year. :larry:
