"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will use a memoir out next spring to give her side of her interviews with CBS’s Katie Couric but holds no bitterness toward Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), sources said.

“She feels that she and her family were mischaracterized and didn’t really get a fair shake,” said one person familiar with her thinking. “She’s proud of her family, she’s proud of Alaska and she’s proud of her political career.”

The book is to be published by HarperCollins Publishers, and Zondervan will co-publish for the Christian book market. The deal was negotiated by Brian Murray, president and CEO of HarperCollins Publishers, with Robert B. Barnett of Williams & Connolly. Palin signed the deal a few weeks ago in Barnett’s office.

Palin has not begun writing. But the book will draw on her extensive journaling, and she will work with a collaborator to be chosen shortly. The book (title undecided) will include her reflections on balancing her time as a working mother, recognizing the war’s impact with her son serving combat in Iraq, having a child with a disability and supporting her teenage daughter through an unplanned pregnancy."

After 100% of the 11 accusations thus far thrown at her for her conduct being found without merit (h/t CWO_GHWebb), I think it's pretty fair that she get some good press. Clearly, if she wants it, she'll have to write it herself. She scares the Andys and Nonnos of the world too much to get it from the MSM.

Toxick

Splat

Not-so-subtle subliminal imagery in the headline, invoking images of Sarah Palin and Katie Couric in a cat-fight.

Maybe it starts off with both of them walking up a hallway wearing a professional pantsuit or blouse-skirt combo... one of them "accidentally/on purpose" trips the other one into a small pool of heated baby-oil that just happened to be there. She retaliates by tripping back. Chaos ensues. The scene gets rowdier as clothes get ripped and torn off. It turns out they were wearing lingerie under their professional attire... there's more biting and kicking and finally it's skin against skin, glistening with the heated baby oil...

ahem.

That's a sleazy headline title!

I kinda like it though.

From the article, "The book might have a slight addition on faith for the Zondervan edition. The Bible publisher is part of the same company, and its sales reps have close relationships at Christian bookstores that can get better display for political titles."

You can bet the Christian edition will be sure to include references to speaking in tongues, prophesy, faith healing and the end times. Nothing like appealing to your base! :killingme

Glad I'm not part of the current administration's "base"
The destruction of the economy by invalidating contractual law to curry political favor is incredibly stupid.
