Sorta surprised me, seeing as we dont have that sort of thing so often. Was at the Gate 1 intersection, say about 2pm. I counted while waiting at the light, 12 people total. Two in the median strip, one with a crappy bullhorn. 10 more on the side of the road by the gas station. Only sign I could read said "No chase, No Run, Everyone goes home". So I think they can leverage that poor old womans death into a change in chase policy. Now, were their guy running becuase he had a burnt out light, you might have a case. But given thier guy was recognized as a violent offender wanted on open warrants....pretty sure I WANT the cops chasing that guy. What if they let him drive away and he's on his way to another violent home invasion.

I guess asking people to raise their offspring in a manner in which they don't become career criminals would be too much of an imposition to some people. ANd shout from the mountain tops the need for more gun laws because that would have prevented this senseless loss of life.

The young man has had past issues with illegal possession of firearms, altering serial numbers and failures to appear for his indiscretions. He also was apparently not knowledgeable of the drug laws. No downside to society in this case.

People who don’t know Machiavelli Savoy is trying to make him out to be this bad person. My little brother is not a bad person at all. Yeah he messed up and made some mistakes but who don’t. He is still young and learning but he is NO CRIMINAL. Nobody’s perfect and everyone makes mistakes. That doesn’t give you the right to judge. I feel as though the police could’ve handle this situation differently then how they did it. Now two people are hurt behind how the police handle the situation. They were so pressed to get my little brother that they didn’t care who they put at jeopardy. I know my little brother was in the wrong for running. But Machiavelli Savoy is NOT A THUG. God I pray you keep my brother under your wing and help him get better. He’s suffering a lot of injuries and is fighting hard for his life. Machiavelli is not a FELON

Did anyone notice on Case Search that just this fall this guy only had a learner's permit? There's a picture on the sister's page of him standing outside MVA just getting his learner's last summer, posing with his papers and Rookie Driver sticker.
