fox pisses me off.. their web guy is probably a dc high school drop out or something.. the grammar isnt' too bad this time, maybe they replaced that other guy.. or they finally got a proof reading editor... but anyway.. did they really need to use allegedly when saying he was speeding off from the cops? they freaking caught him, he was running from the cops.. it's not alleged.. there's absolutely no chance of it being a mistake... the evidence is irrefutable.. it happened.. it's not alleged.. there's nothing to be sued about reporting that it happened as the police reported. http://www.fox5dc.com/news/local-ne...y-1-week-after-collision-with-pursued-suspect

My understanding is that It's alleged until the conviction. It';s a legal technicality that law enforcement has to follow. Chances are they did a cut and paste from the police report. I'm not so much bothered by that verbage as I am the newest fad of bystanders thinking they can insert themselves into an ongoing law enforcement action. That some how they can argue the case in the street or in a store. They record it, and post it to social media. Then news outlets get the snippet and it goes viral with allegations (there's that word) of excess force used by police.
Recent story about a young female who didn't like her friend getting arrested for shop lifting so she threw her drink in the store. Cops grabbed her and brought her back in, she wouldn't obey, so they cuffed her, she resisted. Boy friend records it on video and claims they threw her to the floor.
Took her down.
Again, I encourage people to watch Live PD on A&E to see what officers have to deal with and the RESTRAINT they show when dealing with azzholes like this entire family.
Caveat: I'll be the first one to call LE on the carpet if I see something wrong - not on the scene, but I'm a critic of the use of tactical units.
There is a time and place for their use, unfortunately I think some departments are too quick to deploy shooters before trying to calm the situation.
What comes to mind is the guy in Virginia who was shot standing in the doorway, he was unarmed. I believe the rationale was that someone heard a shot and took him out. Also recent incidents where people were SWATed. SWAT kicks in the door and ends up shooting a confused individual who is guilty of sleeping, all because some azzhole calls in to report a threat.

People who don’t know Machiavelli Savoy is trying to make him out to be this bad person. My little brother is not a bad person at all. Yeah he messed up and made some mistakes but who don’t. He is still young and learning but he is NO CRIMINAL. Nobody’s perfect and everyone makes mistakes. That doesn’t give you the right to judge. I feel as though the police could’ve handle this situation differently then how they did it. Now two people are hurt behind how the police handle the situation. They were so pressed to get my little brother that they didn’t care who they put at jeopardy. I know my little brother was in the wrong for running. But Machiavelli Savoy is NOT A THUG. God I pray you keep my brother under your wing and help him get better. He’s suffering a lot of injuries and is fighting hard for his life. Machiavelli is not a FELON

Corrina, Corrina! Here she is again.

On Friday, August 23, 2019, Deputy K. Molitor, from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Arrested Corrina Lyevette Savoy, 24, of Lexington Park.

Deputies responded to the St. Mary’s County Circuit Courthouse in Leonardtown after courthouse security called for assistance with a disorderly subject.

According to court documents, Savoy was standing in front of the front doors to the courthouse and impeding persons from entering and exiting the courthouse. Savoy was told by security multiple times to move away and stop being disruptive, however Savoy refused.

Savoy was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the St. Mary’s Adult Detention and Rehabilitation Center where she was released a short time later.

Savoy was last arrested on Sunday, March 3, 2019, with her mother, Carla Yvette Blanton, 48, after they arrived at the scene of the motor vehicle crash and began to yell and curse at officers and emergency personnel.

If you go over to the site of the original article, you can see that the community has no love for this loudmouth, or her family for that matter. She ought to be nice to the police and court system, as that seems to be the only reason a little vigilante justice hasn't been served.
