He had better be very, very, very rich. I too hate it that the sponsors have so much power but without them there is no NASCAR. I doubt there are many owners who could field a single car team without sponsors. The heyday of sponsors has passed NASCAR down the backstretch. There was a time where owners would take bids from sponsors and go with the highest bidder for long term sponsorship but now many owners are beating the bushes to find anyone willing to part with some bucks to get their name on the car for a race or two.

That's that part I don't get.. It's an offensive word, I get that.. but he's talking to a WHITE guy when he says it.

He wasn't referring to, nor talking to a person of color.. nor was he disparaging a person of color.. so how can this be grounds for him losing his job, and possibly millions of dollars?

Because that word is......BAD!!!!
