Scattering a loved one's ashes

Did I break the law yesterday pissing off the back of the boat?

Actually, yes. Human waste is only allowed to be dumped 2 or 3 (I can't remember which) miles offshore. Also you could be cited for indecent exposure in MD and all the way up to a sex offense in VA for hanging your wang. I am not saying I have not done this I am just regurgitating what I was told in a boater safety/environmental class I took.

Good to know, Thanks.

We did get a visit from DNR, but all they wanted to see were the life preserves and a F'in whistle (horn didn't work).

My family would like to honor the request of a loved one by scattering her ashes on a body of moving water in or near St. Mary's County. Does anyone know if it is possible to charter a boat for this or if this is legal in the state of Maryland? Are there any boat captains who could assist my family with this request?

Thanks

Since waters around St. Mary's County would be inland water, versus ocean water, I recommend that you ask the EPA individual in charge of such activities.
