about 20 kids on the bus bumps and bruises
possible one with a laceration to the mouth

I saw a lot of icy patches on the way into work. Maybe people are forgetting about them because it's not currently raining/snowing and the no one on the radio/tv is talking about them while giving the traffic and weather reports. At least not on the stations I listened to this morning. Just a thought.

All the rain over the weekend causing runoff over the roads. Freezing temps last night turned it into black ice.

I had a couple of encounters with black ice this morning myself. 5/301 North, between the light for the Hovnanian neighborhood (north of where they are building the Costco) and the Golf Cart place, there were 4 or 5 patches of black ice in the left lane. Found out that the tires on my car do not like ice. Front end wanted to wiggle as I went over it.

My son attends LHS. He said there have been an increased number of fights in the hallways the past couple of weeks over dumb shiat.

Tell me about it. My daughter attends GMHS and and I can't help but think WTF everytime she tells me of some kids doing stupid stuff. I guess that happens when the parents relenquish their parenthood and try to pass them on to the teachers.

A coworker of mine's child was on this bus. It was going to Piney Point Elementary I believe. The bus driver swerved to miss a deer that she was afraid would have come through the winshield as it was a flat front bus. Bus driver then went off the roadway into a ditch moving down several mailboxes. All the kids in the back of the bus flew forward and landed on her son. He went by ambulance but is ok with a sprained arm and other bumps and bruises.
