Anyone know of a scrap yard in S MD? Son has some copper he wants to cash in. TIA

You and your son are welcome. :huggy: My Dad used to take scrap metal there almost every week when I was a kid. They've been in business a long time.

Wood & Tompkins Cores- 301-632-5123
They are behind MVA on Irongate Dr.in Waldorf. My husband says that they pay more.

Well guess im to late for it but if you ever need to take metal anywhere else, never use waldorf metals. They dont pay sh!t compared to other places. They only give $.25 for a lbs of aluminum, montgomery scrap gives us $.65 a lbs. and i know copper is worth at least $2 or more. But waldorf is at least within driving distance, but just for future reference.

Will keep that in mind, he had elevator cabling of some sort but it had a steel cable down the middle of it. They wouldn't price the stuff so he had to bring it all back and will have to strip it. Thanks

I asked RiverRat. RiverRat said that place will give you the best deal. RiverRat has lots of experience because of scrapping unused wires or excess wires from job sites.
