As one who provides tech support both professionally and personally, I feel your pain. But I understand that not everyone is computer competent, or even literate. However, you must admit that NMCI is an inefficient system, which is the topic here (not random tech support). I've run into dozens of know-it-all "tech dudes" who come up with these convoluted "solutions" to fairly routine and simple problems. It just seems to come with the territory - computer/networking genius combined with Rube Goldberg thinking.
NMCI is the product of such people.
