Seatbelt check this a.m.

I had never seen the state do one of these before. They were set-up on the Charles Co. side of the Benedict bridge checking to see who wasn't wearing their seatbelt. It backed traffic up a bit, but it wasn't bad.

I also got to see a man in handcuffs. :jet:

Ott and I saw that there one time last summer, set up just as you got the Charles side of the bridge..had the bridge backed up almost to the Calvert side.

They are setup on post office road all the time right behind the 7-11. They make a ton of $$$ from doing that check LOL.

I assume he did more than that. :lol:

Maybe they found something illegal in his truck (which was a company truck), or maybe there was a warrant for his arrest. :shrug:

No seat belt, show license to the cop, he runs it and finds an outstanding warrant.

They should do those more often. Great way to bust parents who don't strap the kiddies down and bust those knuckleheads with warrants too. I love it. Worth the sit in traffic. :elaine:
