Sadly, yes. 9-10 is considered very old but there are some that live longer, but it is not common. They can have a lot of health issues as they age too. That is the primary reason they come into rescue because owners cannot afford the care of a senior Dane. It's a shame because they're such nice dogs.

OK boss is adorable..but I kind of like the bassett/lab mix. She is cuteness.
