Keesa said:Are you having IV sedation or just pill sedation? I had pill sedation last year with Dr. Cieplak in La Plata. Was tired of having to go from one "specialist" to another and wanted everything done at the same time while I was asleep. The pill sedation doesn't knock you out completely, but you DO NOT REMEMBER the experience. Highly recommend it. Good luck!
Christy said:I'm doing the pill sedation. My only concern is that even though I won't remember it, I'll still feel it during the procedure. I'm fine with the shots and drilling, but what I for some reason have a hard time handling, is the scraping. They're doing a heavy duty cleaning while I'm knocked out since I don't do so well with it when I'm awake.

If you have an Ipod or something, take it with you, just in case.
Jameo said:Had it done Tuesday. It kicks ass! They gave me valium to take the night before (That's some wild stuff ) and the sedation pill to bring with me to the office. Got to the office, I put the sedation pill under my tongue, they put the gas mask on me. They went to work and I was sipping a mai tai in lala land! I remember bits and pieces, but don't remember hearing the drill  I'd highly recommend it for any one that has a hard time at the dentist!

Did someone have to go with you to drive you home?Jameo said:When I say I remember bits and pieces, I remember the dentist asking me to open wider and bite down. I remember absolutely nothing of the work, shots of novocain, drilling, none of the skeery stuff
I had my teeth cleaned yesterday morning and I was hoping with all my hope that they wouldn't have to scrape They only had to scrape a tiny bit so I did super I wonder if I can add some more brushing to my daily routineBS Gal said:Oh, I need sedation........
