Selective allergy?

Is it possible to be only allergic to 1 of your 3 cats? My eyes get red and puffy when Jack lays next to me (and of course when I'm petting him), but not when I pet any of the other kitties. Jack used to be my mom's cat, and her asthma got too bad to keep him. Is he some super-allergen filled cat or something? :eyebrow:

Has confinement issues..
Mystical Mom has a couple cats and I'm not allergic to them, but my friend C.P had two orange tabbies that would make my eyes swell shut and itch until I went home and showered.

I'm allergic to some cats, I just don't like none of 'em.

I am highly allergic to my mother-in-law's cat. It's an indoor, long-haired cat. If I touch it or get near it, my eyes swell and get red. No problem with my cat.

Yes, in fact I got this from my allergy doctor himself. He says just like you and I make different saliva so do cats. It's the saliva you are allergic too. :yay:

I'm no doctor, but from what I remember from the days when I had to get allergy shots twice a month, it goes something like this...

You are allergic to the saliva and/or dander (not so much the dander as the general public thinks--so my doctor said) If you don't have the immunities to that particular cat's chemistry, you will have reactions. Therefore, if it's a recent addition, you will be allergic to it until you develop antibodies or histamines or maybe it's anti-histamines--like I said, I'm no doctor, if you develop them at all. Some people are just allergic, but it sounds like you are just allergic for now...

Then again, I could be totally talking out of my a-- :blahblah: But, I think that's the gist of what I was told...

She's allergic to Kiki...not Claudia. I'm not sure about the newest addition.

Not sure about Gidget because I'm already stuffy/on meds from Kiki.

But yes, Cowgirl, I've never been allergic to a cat in my life until Kiki showed up.

...people are allergic to ALL cats. Those who claim otherwise live in denial. This is part of their plan. Cats are proof of life from other planets. The form they assume, the ones that were sent here, works on a subconscious level on humans thereby making take over of our world less bloody and destructive which would defeat the purpose of controlling us for their own well being.

It even is starting to work on dogs which used to be our first line of defense to keep us from falling under the spell of the cats.

Apparently, one of your cats is getting out of line and the other two are trying to get you to get rid of him before he ruins everything by...letting the cat out of the bag.

So to speak.

So you're saying Jack is an alien? :eyebrow: What should I do?

...depends on how much control they have assumed over you. Are they listening now? Have they made you wear a wire? I'm not putting myself at risk. I have to get the message out before they get to me.
