Sex Glorification

You can argue that it is a stupid commercial, not funny, or even that the butts are actually rectangles instead of squares but that it is geared towards kids is just silly.
How many people under 20 even know who Sir Mix A Lot is?

:yeahthat: Thats what my kids watch all the time on Boomerrang and that is where we have been seeing the commercials.

Then maybe you should rethink the stations your kids are watching. This is not an attack on you in any way just if these stations are showing this type of commercial when it is blatantly geared towards adults they you should be upset with the station not BK.

Hey Genius, Boomerang it is a cartoon channel. And how is it geared toward adults when the commercial is for kids' meals?

That is my point...it is SUPPOSED to be geared towards kids yet it is showing commercials that are geared towards adults. Not the type of station I want my kids watching. I'd blame the irresponsibility of the station over BK.
And how many kids buy kids meals?

None. And it's unlikely that any kid young enough for a Happy Meal will have ever even heard the song.

I don't agree that it's geared toward adults. I think it's just another BK marketing blunder, which started with whoever came up with that scary King.

 Parents. But toy cartoons are geared towards kids so they'll beg their parents for the toys. Same with the kids meals.

And it is your job as the parent to say yes or no. I personally never buy my children happy/kids meals they get something off the $1 menu. They'll eat it and they'll like it

I think it is a beyond stupid commercial....but not offensive. But I do believe it was meant to advertise that kids meals are 99 cents IF you buy a regular value meal or something.
Marketing blunder though? Like someone else said....look at all the free press they are getting. Negative attention is still attention.

We rarely eat fast food. I'm not worried about them asking me for kids meals.

The kids are identifying with Spongebob and dancing their little square asses off. Mommy and daddy are dancing to Sir Mix Alot and big butts and everyone is going to BK.

Fishn Guy

That's Dr. Fishn to you..
Then what are you upset about?

Spongebob shakes his ass in his own cartoon so what is the difference?

Its the "holier than thow" here to complain about ethics... Most of the folks on here leave their ethics to whatevers floatin around. They have none, they raise kids in filth while they smoke and chat on the internet all day. They completely chalk their entire kids social stability up to what they see on tv and are considered failed parents by the rest of society. The 10" internet penis makes them almighty parents who do no wrong, but in real life they are losers who should really play outside or actually interact with their children instead of sitting here upping their post count... all the while biatching about what the tv is teaching their kids.

sad. failed. Its the new way of life... champions in mediocrity, and damn proud of it.
