She's still built like a kid though, hasn't "filled out", so I'm stuck in either the Jrs or the top end of the kids dept. The more modest clothes in the ladies petites don't hang right on her. The way she's been eating the past month I think we're in the middle of another growth spurt.

Gap and Old Navy have plus sizes. Arizona jeans are good and you can find them at JCP.

Most of the toddler girl jeans are cut that way. I've had the same problem. Hell, my little one is in 12 or 18 month jeans and they are that way.

Exactly! My 15 month old is in 2T stuff and it's all cut like teens are wearing it. Low rise, tight thighed, flared bottom. She is still shaped like a baby and this stuff is skin tight on her but larger sizes are way too long. Appropriate stuff is hard to find.

Easter shoes for babies even had platform heels in a lot of cases. Thankfully little white maryjane type shoes are still available. I'm waiting for hooker heels to appear on the store shelves by the time she's ready for school.

Our girl is now a teen and luckly we didn't have issues on clothing as parents do today but while shopping for Holloween costumes last October in Waldorf we couldn't help but notice that most (if not all) the pre-teen girl costumes were fashioned in a manner that could only be termed as sexy. So the trend follows all avenues.
