Ok, here's what I'm wondering. What's the deal with high thread count sheets? Are they better? I've always bought the cheapest I could find but decided to improve my quality of life. The first set of expensive sheets I bought wore out in about 6 months. The set I bought today, 600 tc, looks like they need to be ironed when they come out of the dryer. I'll be all wrinkly when I sleep on them. I don't get it.

The higher the thread count, the nicer the sheet. I have 1000's. It's like sleeping on crispy silk. Freakin' awesome!

OK, I am with the rat. I bought some fancy schmancy high dolla sheets and they too look like crap out of the dryer. Are these things going to wear out in 6 months since Boy is hooked and that is all he will sleep on now?

Mine always come out of the dryer all wrinkly too, but I just put them on the bed like that. The wrinkles go away. :yay:

I have a set of the 1000....I got them from Overstock (I think) and they were under $100.00 for a queen set. I did a google search to find the cheapest deal. After I wash/dry them I put them right on the bed....no ironing needed....they smooth right out. They are so soft.

Believe it or not most sheets w/a thread count over 400+ feels great-ya don't have to spend BIG $$ to sleep on crispy silk! :whistle:

My mom used to send our sheets to the dry cleaner and they'd always come back really crisp. I loved that.

I tink the ones we got are 450 or something. There is a Westpoint - Pepperel or whatever outlet there and they were $65 a set.

I think the sheets that came with my new comforter are 1 count. They are now being used as floor protectors when I paint.

That is a good thread count. I agree with every one. Pull them right out warm and put them right on to the bed. If you do this about 20 mins before bed all of your other covers will get nice and warm too. Its awesome getting into a warm bed when it is cold out.

I LOVE MY FLANNEL SHEETS.....And the cat just gets in the way...LOL
