Damaged Property: 21-37304


On July 6, 2021, DFC Gott responded to the 300 block of Gray Drive in Lusby, MD for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised unknown suspect(s) came onto her property at approximately 11:15 p.m. on July 5 and damaged a flower pot and knocked over her lawn chairs. The estimated value of damaged property is $15.00.

On July 6, 2021, DFC Mitchell responded to the 200 block of Vista Lane in Lusby, MD in reference to a destruction of property. The complainant advised unknown suspect(s) pulled up all 12 solar powered pathway ground lights and scattered them over the front yard leaving them damaged and inoperable. The estimated value of damaged property is unknown at this time.

On July 11, 2021, Deputy Abercrombie responded to the 4900 block of Storeplace Lane in Prince Frederick, MD for the report of a destruction of property. The complainant advised sometime 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., unknown suspect(s) struck and damaged her mailbox. The estimated value of damaged property is $50.00.

Theft: 21-37351

On July 6, 2021, Deputy Huy responded to the 5000 block of Buena Vista Road in Prince Frederick, MD for report of a stolen tag. The complainant advised sometime between May 25 and July 2, unknown suspect(s) stole the rear registration plate of his vehicle. The value of stolen property is unknown at this time.

Theft: 21-37621

On July 7, 2021, Deputy Plant responded to 8800 block of Bay Ave in North Beach, MD for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between 9:30 p.m. on July 6 and 6:30 a.m. on July 7, unknown suspect(s) stolen a metal dog statue from her from yard. The value of stolen property is $20.00.

Theft: 21-38021

On July 9, 2021, Deputy Huy received report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between July 3 and July 9, unknown suspect(s) stole a bright orange Husqvarna weed eater out of his truck bed. The value of stolen property is $400.00.

ARRESTS

Jose Luis Sime Morales, 25 of Chesapeake Beach, MD


On July 6, 2021, DFC Cress attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Bayside Road and Chesapeake Beach Road in Chesapeake Beach for a motorcyclist not wearing a safety helmet. The operator was travelling at speeds in excess of 80 MPH in a posted 30 MPH zone. With activated lights and sirens, Deputy Cress began pursuing the vehicle. The operator of the motorcycle passed numerous vehicles to include a school bus on a solid yellow line in an attempt to elude police officers. The driver, identified as Jose Luis Sime Morales, 25 of Chesapeake Beach, MD, made a U-turn at the intersection of Christiana Parran and Bayside Road where the motorcycle became disabled. Morales was placed into custody and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Fleeing and Eluding, Negligent and Reckless Driving, Unauthorized Taking of a Motor Vehicle and other traffic related charges.

On July 5, 2021, Cpl. Robshaw attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Rt. 4 and Rt. 260 on three motorcycles detected travelling at a speed of 110 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Deputies in the area activated lights and sirens in an attempt to get the bikes to pull over. The bikes accelerated and continued southbound weaving in and out of traffic and driving down the center of the road in between vehicles. The motorcycles were last seen at a high rate travelling down Ferry Landing Road. A call from a resident on Ferry Landing Road later determined the operators of the motorcycles were hiding in a barn nearby. Deputies arrived on scene and observed two males and a female with 3 bikes inside the barn. The operators identified as:

Vanessa Donella Fenner, 37 of Silver Spring, MD, who were taken into custody and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where they were charged with Fleeing and Eluding, Negligent Driving, and Reckless Driving in addition to other traffic related charges.
