:yeahthat:..... all I can say... if he is gettin from a breeder... god hopes its a good one! or she could be faced with health issues!

this breaks my heart... family got a "little" yorkie from a "breeder" for xmas... it ended up hypoglycemic and unable to keep its sugar up. would not eat or drink.... was hospitalized for a while...when home and deteriorated again and started to have seizures.. they had to let the puppy go :bawl:

Yep, friend's daughter bought a "teacup" Yorkie from a breeder. Friend called me hysterical, she thought the pup was dead. Told her to put some Karo on the gums and get it to the vet ASAP. Sure enough, hypoglycemia but the poor thing had worms, etc. They thought liver shunt too but that turned out to be a false alarm. She is the frailest little thing still. And what a surprise, breeder would do nothing.

unfortunately, I had to turn her down..:( My parents didnt want to risk bringing Cookie in with her mange with our dog being so old and such. Our dog is deaf, blind and just sleeps 95% of the day... I dont think we would have gotten her anyways, because they woudlnt have gotten along.. :( I def wanted her..

My sweet sweet bf tho.. he is trying to get me a Yorkie. One of the little 5 lb ones. :) BUt, Im not supposed to know... lol BUT my mom told me about it, and the one he emailed is a scam... ALL of the ones listed on here are a scam... :(

Ah...I'm sorry that it didn't work..but I just called and left them a message....my wife has wanted her since the day they posted her picture on here but she was already spoken for.....my Shi-Bichon looks almost just like her....and my Yorkie is a mutant 16 pounder.....not fat either...him and one of his brothers out of that litter just came out giants....but one of the girls is very tiny...probably 5 pounds....I would be afraid i'd squish it when i was sleeping..lol

that is horrible...

I bought an ex boyfriend a Yorkie from a breeder in Lexington Park years ago. She was a whooping 4 pounds. She was too little for the breeder to breed, so I was able to buy her with the understanding she would be altered and never breed. She was about a year old when I bought her. No health problems, and the last time I talked with him, she was still going strong. Cutiest little yorkie ever!

Wish I could remember the lady's name. I remember where she lived, but like I said, that was years ago and I don't know if she'd still be there.

I still want a shih tzu puppy :dye: shut up ICiT :smack:

Demodectic mange generally is not contagious.

yeah.. thats what the lady said.. But since Im still at home.. it was my parents choice.. if i were on my own, or very sooon to be on my own, Cookie would be at my house NOW.

how is her hip holding up? does she limp at all? because my Shiz is kind of a spaz and likes to rough house....

We werent aloud to see her when i went in before the first family adopted her. (this was about a month ago now..) She was on cage rest.. They didnt really mention anything about her having a limp or anything. They did tell me then that she was healing great.. so that im not sure of.
