I really want to get some new shoes. The style for just about everything is flat, ballet slipper-type shoes. They look really cute, but I'm afraid they'll make my size 9's look like flippers.

I work for the MD Dept. of Agriculture, in a field office (a Soil Conservation District). Part of my job is in the office, and part is in the field. I walk a lot of farms.

Beautiful! Hey, I have a similar pair. I used to wear them all the time to shovel snow up in NY. Don't have to worry about the snow here.
