SHORT FUSE - 5 yr old Female Dobe

Help "Invisible Dogs"
I just got a call from a lady that had to move quickly due to domestic violence and she wasn't really able to spend much time trying to find a new home. She was hoping to keep her dog rather than loose it as well but unfortunately her new landlord has given her TODAY to remove the dog before they start eviction proceedings.

(when she started crying so did I.....)

Isabella (Bella for short) is a 5 yr old Black and Rust purebred Doberman. She's current on her shots, good with kids (was raised w/2 that are now 10 and 7), also good with small dogs, never been exposed to cats. She is house trained, but will look at you to get your attention (so you will need to learn her habits as well), never been crated.

She is a stuffed toy terminator and according to her owner that's her only bad trait!

Isabella has not been spayed, but if you are reading this and want to adopt her that will be taken care of first.

Sorry no pictures but this has a very short fuse.

Please contact me immediately if you can help this girl - please cross post and if you have a Doberman Rescue Contact, please forward to them as well.

I am more than willing to drive her to someone that can help even if you can only foster her until a new home is found.

~Even though this is urgent there are still applications and reference checks that have to be done to foster or adopt an animal through rescue~

Please contact me ASAP if you can help.

thanks~!

I belong to a Dobermans group on Livejournal, if you want I'll pass the word along and see what I can find out!
*cries* I'd take her in a heartbeat but I'm in a townhome with two cats.
Growing up, we ALWAYS had Dobes. They're my favorite breed of dog.

We very well may be able to take the dog, I have 2 smaller dogs though. Where is the dog located?

Since it's due to domestic violence I left that part off the post, please PM me with your email address!

Kat - would this be a temporary foster until a forever home is found?

Yes, we would get her spayed asap, so she would have to be kept quiet through that.

Someone had a Dobe rescue contact that was supposed to call me but I haven't heard back from them yet.

still no reply from Dobe rescue, so we may be looking for a foster home to take her into our group. I promised the owner I'd try to have her someplace safe by the weekend...

I have someone on the LJ dobermans board asking what would be the adoption fee and what are the criteria for adoption...

Emergency help.... If she has to have the dog out by tonight and as long as it's only for a few days, I have a crate, a kennel and a runner outside. I'll be home for the better part of the next few days so she won't be left alone for more than a few hours on Friday and Saturday afternoon. My dog is a little skeerdy cat and my kids will be told not to traumatize her with hugs since she's being uprooted and might be a bit out of her element.

I had Dobe's when I was a kid and I love them. I'm glad to help out if this is an emergency but I couldn't keep her long because of time, space and $$ issues.

In this type of circumstance, the adoption fee would be the cost of her vetting (spay, microchip and shots) - but we still would require an application to be filled out and approved as once we take this dog we are liable for it the rest of it's life and if it were to be returned we would take it into our program.

Please have them email me at katmc@secondhoperescue.org for an application.

thanks!
