Just a thought but, if Lord Stanley and family are willing to adopt her, couldn't they be approved quickly to also foster her until the adoption is final. I am sure they would be willing to take her and get her spayed.

Now trying to set up a time to meet her and get her to safety (w/Lord Stanley). Sounds like a great place so long as everyone gets along okay (people and dogs...)

happy to be living
"Isabella (Bella for short) is a 5 yr old Black and Rust purebred Doberman. She's current on her shots, good with kids, good with small dogs. She is house trained, but will look at you to get your attention."

The lady that had to give up this sweet dog has had much unhappiness in her life lately. I am certain giving up her fur child was very difficult. Bella is a very beautiful, smart and intense girl and I have every confidence she is going to do well with her new family. :huggy:

I am hoping they will post some pictures so everyone can see, it sounds like it went very good. I know the owner feels as at peace as she can possibly be, with the home that Lord Stanley will provide to Bella.

So far so good.... :high5:

Thanks to our son, she got introduced to our dogs a lot sooner than planned. They all took to each other right off the bat.

That is until Bella found the toy basket. She grabbed them all and kept a close watch on them. Even the new ones my wife bought for her. So when our dogs moved in to inspected the pile and claim their toys, she got snippy.

We nipped that in the bud real quick. However she will need to learn to share... Which shouldn’t be a problem.

We did have 2 accidents. One in the middle of the night and one this morning. Which is expected. We aren’t used to her potty schedule and she isn’t used to ours... However she knew she did something wrong, when I couldn’t find her this morning. She made her way back to our bed room and was chilling on her bed. Actually its jacks bed, but she had no problem making it hers as soon as she entered the bedroom last night. (Which is only ok, because Jack never slept in it. So jack gets a new one  )

Since we have to get her on our feeding and potty schedule, not to mention we dont trust her alone yet with full run of the house and with our dogs, she is in a crate. Which she is not liking, since she was never crate trained.

With a little positive reinforcement and doggy treats , I dont think she will be in it long.

Tonight its bath time for her. Since she was kept outside for a little while until we adopted her, she has acquired quite a stench.

On a funny note, the owner said she had a slight gas problem. Good lord I think we met geeks doggy equal :geek:

This was also taken with my cell. So the picture isnt that clear. We will get better ones with our nice camera.

It was also hard since she would stop moving.

Good on ya LS!

Give her some yogurt (non-fat, plain) with her meal and that will help her gas problem. :yay:

LS, I can't tell you how happy you made her previous owner, she said she felt so comfortable with Bella going with you and thank you so much from Second Hope for being so willing to open your hearts and home to a dog that so needed it! I'll be emailing you later with other stuff we need to discuss..

I cant help but smile at this picture. She looks like she has lived there her whole life!

She's so mellow, she just walked right in and made herself at home.

I told her that we would keep her posted after her inital adjustment... It would be great if we had an email address for her, to send a letter and picture, in a couple weeks.
