Shots Fired in Lexington Park

Last night at about 10:00 pm, there were 5 or 6 shots fired in the Westbury community off of Pegg Rd (on the Western side). Anybody have any info on what that was all about? A bunch of police showed up, but no ambulance so I guess nobody got hurt.

I guess that's a good thing??? I just really hope that doesn't happen again. I don't want my neighborhood turning into a complete ghetto. They just friggin finished building it.

I read somewhere that they are building a fence around "the Park" to keep all the riff raff together - to make them feel special. You will need the secret password to get through the gate along with a gun.... :popcorn:

I really hate this attitude of the SoMD forum. From reading these forums you would think everywhere in SoMD is like Compton unless it's waterfront property. Shut your mouth and stop trying to boost your ego by putting every neighborhood other than yours down.

The fence is already built the county is just going to hook up to Pax gate 1 and run it north and east as soon as the funds are approved.:buddies:

When we were looking for a house. We actually almost bought a house on gooseneck drive. Before we did we would drive through the neighborhood randomly.. So we weren't too thrilled with what we saw.. The "hood rats" were out at all hours right in that area.. So we decided against buying/ or building in that general area.

I am sure some of you posters know what a real ghetto is, and there isn't a single one down here in St. Mary's... even in the infamous PARK. For those of you who were born and reared in this isolated county realize the crap that goes on down there is nothing compared to a REAL ghetto area. Try parts of Baltimore and SE DC for starters. Then look into Memphis, Detroit, and Oakland.
I'll induldge the other side of this, and agree that no one wants 'shots fired' in their neighborhood. Continue to be villigant and be aware of your surroundings. This includes all neighborhoods, not just the ones in southern St. Mary's.

I beg to differ. I like to know my neighbors are practicing, in case that silly militia thing is ever necessary... :whistle:
