Should English be America's Offical Language?

I don't understand what the problem is with having English as our official language. That doesn't mean that everyone is required to speak it like a native - just means we have an official language. We have an official bird and that doesn't mean no other birds are allowed to live here.

What's the problem?

Exactly. If anything, it ought to be looked at as a means of SAVING MONEY. If official documents are published in English, there's no requirement to accommodate speakers of other languages.

On another note, I personally find it mildly amusing that the four largest languages spoken in the Americas are all indigenous to Europe. We don't even speak our OWN language here.
