Yes, furloughed feds are guaranteed back pay, that happened under Trump’s first term because he had so many shutdowns! How the hell do I know and remember so much about that term than you drones??
What, both of them or are you calling it three (one did not impact Fed employees)?
They always get back pay, sad I never get my free week off from it.
Yeah, get the honor of working for back pay instead of being sent home and getting money you didn't have to work for, they just had to wait to collect it.

And how many for Biden? 0

Just so great to have the circus back in town, at least you freaks seem to love the day to day insanity.

They wait until the last minute, jam all this crap in there, then when Republicans balk they go, "Wah! Wah! Republicans want to kill your grandmother!"
Literally every democrat voted for the CR tonight, over 30 republicans said no.

“The vote was 366-34, with all opposition coming from Republicans “

But yes, for the next 4 years blame democrats for everything that Trump doesn’t do, including govern.

We saw this sh*tshow 4 years ago, the sequel will be insanely stupider

Get your TP now, I’m sure that’s about to go missing again!

One dept I worked for was quaking in their boots, their over bloated management was going to be furloughed, but the workers were not because how they were funded, talk about handwringing. I told them, you know you are going to get back pay, why not just come in anyway.....you would have thought I walked up to a nativity scene and pissed on the baby Jesus.

I don’t know if you’re talking about a federal department or not, but if an employee is in a non-pay status (furloughed) it is against the law for them to perform their usual duties. There is crystal clear guidance about this, so you’re either lying or misinformed, either way, you’re in the right place!

Except that wasn't what he was talking about. Go back and reread it and see if you get the gist.

Way back when in the early nineties - when we had those two, back to back - we were told there was NO guarantee we’d get a nickel. We did get it - but I did have to dip into savings and eat cheap and go easy on everything because we had no idea when it would end.

Furloughed employees — a third category of federal employees — stop working during a shutdown. They do not get paid until the end of the shutdown but are guaranteed backpay

Forgot about that law, came into effect right after I retired.

What years? I sure don’t remember this.
The ones where I didn't get paid back? 1996 and 2013. And yes I know there was a presidential order that everyone furloughed in 2013 would get paid back. I didn't, and I argued with DONHR about it and was told to suck eggs because I was in a non-bargaining unit position and my furlough was "agency elective".

Yep, shut down the government all by himself.

No. No he didn't.

Yeah, no. If Gov't workers are furloughed, they're not allowed to come in to work, or to work from home. Even though some of us in direct support of the pointy end of the spear in the sandbox did both.
