Just sneakin' around....
There is a truck parked in front of Tractor Supply, sign on it, Steaks 20lbs for $40. I think it said ribeye... Didn't stop and look, have enough in the freezer now.

As I was waiting for the light by Cracker Barrel, a big flatbed truck pulls out from that road and turns south on 235. Carrying the shell of a helo, drab green and white with "United States of America" on the side. I assume presidential and heading for Pax?

For your consideration ...

I'd stay away from meat sellers like these people. Appears they may be scam artists. Apparently they use a gmail. Who, today, has an eCommerce website, and does not have emails with their domain name? Too business fishy, and/or too cheap to spring for $30 a year for a proper domain email accounts? Also, why would anyone buy meat like this without verification of when the meat was butchered? Appears there are no butcher or expiry stickers/labeling on their meats.

I get $2/lb ribeye all the time. Or rather I buy chuck roasts on sale and sious vide them for 30 hours before finishing them off in a hot pan. Pretty good.

I’ll pass on purchasing perishable food product from the back of a truck in a parking lot.

can’t imagine what animal that ribeye came from, but I’m sure it wasn’t steer.

In 90 degree weather.

One day I was out mowing my lawn and a Capital Meats truck driving by decided to stop. I turned off the mower and he approached and gave a really pathetic sales pitch so I replied "What part of buying meat from the back of a truck in 90 degree weather sounds like a good idea?" He got pretty bitchy with me after that.

And here I was thinking about starting up a mobile sushi sales truck...
Hey, it may be a winner!

I'm certain this "Rib-I Stake" truck wouldn't be doing it if they weren't getting people to pay them.

Not only that, but there is no guarantee if the meat hasn't been thawed then refroze; By accident or neglect. Reading some of the comments from the BBB, and other reviews, spoiled meat seems to be a running theme.

We've been Schwann's customers for ..well...seems like forever. My mother bought from them.
