Jack used to sleep between my knees. When my tummy bothered me, he would lay on my stomach and purr.

You can't imagine what Elaine is up to these days... she's absolutely turning into a gooey, sticky, mushy nice person. I truly believe (and I know her well) that the "Queen of mean" is softening to a point where none of us will recognize her next we meet.

I know you all rarely see me post, but this almost requires an emergency intervention!

summer-- a day on the boat drifting with a cold one in my hand, maybe a pole hanging over the side

winter-- a relaxing soak in the hot tub on a snowy night

anytime-- cooking up a feast of favorites for the family

Well you need to come rescue my poor african violets, at least the one that is still living. I have managed to kill them all. (exept for one that's holding on for dear life)

Hey, my gym has a bunch of (I think they're) pansies. Purple, white, yellow, burgundy, etc. Want any of them?

The simple pleasure was the "head butt", you know when the cat nudges you with his head.

Awwww! I love when they do that. My tiger boy would do that to me all the time if I was busy until I played with him.

It's even more fun if you've built up a static charge, from a walk across the carpet, before they rub on ya.

I must say it's when I am out and about and make a stop simply to get a diet coke or pepsi fountain drink.... not canned or bottled, but in a big ole cup with ice and cold soda drawn straight from the tap. It makes my day.

One of my 'simple pleasures' is the DQ saying "Mommy, smell my feet!" I know it sounds strange, but she's the only little one I'm gonna have, and when she does that, it takes me back for just a moment to the sillyness and innocence of childhood. And yea, her feet stink a little bit sometimes, but I gave life to those feet, and I'll stick 'em under my nose every day as long as she'll let me.
