Skins - Beagles

I didn't say that. They are far from excellent. They suck!

They don't suck. Obviously, their performance against the Saints has now got to be viewed with the perspective that NOLA is a mess but, they played well and that with two second string safeties.

Clearly, the Rams are decent and the Skins, inexplicably, went more zone than the success they had against a talented bunch of Saints skill people.

Now, take out a pro bowl linebacker and one of the staunchest linemen, Carriker, and a solid Cinncy team, add in losing our #1 O lineman as well as Garcon sill out and we have a mess where the O can't help take pressure off as much as they were.

The D does a good job against the run. We still don't get the pressure on the QB the better defenses do and we're vulnerable to teams that have several good WR's.

So, 3 major season ending injuries from 22 O and D starters including right tackle. #1 WR on the shelf for now, patchy O line to begin with and a rookie QB who is expected to run high school plays which, from now on, will probably be taken away by the rest of the league.

Not good.

Did they ever say what the Unsportsmanlike was at the end? I didn't understand that, I figured they would have called it on Cincy for having the whole team on the field before the game was over.....

First time I can remember pulling for the Redskins, I really hate the Bengals...

RGIII looked good on that last drive, only thing I can think to critique is that he should have thrown the ball away instead of taking that sack...but going from the 2 to your opponents 19 in a matter of a minute and change says alot...

Who's your team?

They could easily be 3-0 instead of 1-2. Last-minute mistakes in St Louis and against Cincy doomed them, but they were in it until the end. (I blame the refs... and Josh Morgan... and D. Hall... and... Hmmm)

And isn't that good enough, competitive games?

I think it was a gift to the Bengals for not running out the clock on the injury on the previous play.

Woof, I'm sorry.

Trent has been doing work though, right? I haven't followed them much but the bits and pieces I see make me think they may be getting it together - slowly.

Yeah, we've been playing well at all positions besides QB...they really screwed up taking Weeden in the first round...so far he's the only one who hasn't shown any moments of talent....

The Unsportsmanlike was on Kyle Shanahan, for telling an official that a 10 second runoff cannot happen on a dead ball (after RGIII spiked). Skins shpould have been assesed a 5 yarder for the false start. Instead they were given a 5 yarder + 20 (WTF!!!) for the personal, viola, 3rd and 50.

Heard onSirius NFL that the regular officials may be out there as early as this week, next week latest. It seems that they are about 1.6 million apart from a contract.

Now, see. I disagree. I think they are teaching all those people in the stands, the ones acting like this is the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD, and I mean the adults, that, it is, in fact, not important at all and is simply entertainment.

The owners could do society no greater service than showing, by example, that it's JUST a football game, paid at that which means it's NOT a game and no, it's not even worth having top flight officiating.

I mean, look. They, the owners, change the rules a bit here, a bit there every year for what they perceive to be commercial reasons so, while it might be fun to attach ones emotions to a home town football team, there is a societal value in the people who own this game, replete with their socialist monopoly protections, telling us all, 'hey, loyalty is a one way street.'

It's good for us as a whole, I think.

Even after last night's horrible call? Talk about some serious BS.
Green Bay should of definitely had a win.

Listening to Mike & Mike this morning, sounds like they're ready to give whatever is necessary to get the real officials back on the field - it's getting really, really bad.

I fell asleep. If the owners have let things get so bad that they're backed into a corner, well, I guess that was their plan all along?

To me, they, the owners, should be asked if their judgment simply wasn't any good in the first place if they have now decided, suddenly, to totally reverse themselves. I mean, this was either predictable because it's a terribly difficult game to officiate or, the owners themselves, think so little of the game, fans and sponsors that second rate is just fine.

It's a fair question. They can't be allowed to change now without coming clean on this.
