Well, it seems as if the teams that are consistently good are built through the draft. It takes longer, but the results last longer.

True, you may pick up a final piece of the puzzle through Free Agency, but the bulk of the team is going to come from your system.

He's making a ton of money over in NASCAR, with teams and drivers who actually win reguarally unlike the Redskins.

Gibbs has won, (help me out here Larry) a Daytona 500 (1993), three championships in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (2000, 2002, 2005) and a Nationwide Series owners championship (2008) since the Redskins last went to the Super Bowl? NFC Championship game? Won a conference championship? A divisional championship?

Hell, I would've stayed over in NASCAR if I was Gibbs. At least Wildthing and Sliced Bread win #### on ocassion.

He knew he would have the full support of the fans, owner and the like. He witnessed his team ailing for many years. Plus, his son was very interested in getting into coaching. So, why not give it one more go-round?
