What was next to those 2 trees in the back I assume this farm is old?
Nothing in between the trees.
The tree on the right has been documented as the largest Eastern Red Cedar in the state of Maryland. She suffered serious injury in the ice storm a few years ago, but hanging in there.
All land in St. Mary's was originally parceled out by the king as manor land, thousands of acres per parcel. We sit on what was originally part of Fairfield Manor. I don't know when the fields were created, other than they've been around a few hundred years.
Hum. Sounds like a project I need to undertake.
