He used rubber bands for ear pieces.

Low Rent Mother'Fers IN PG are tossing the masks and gloves on the ground as soon as the walk out of Aldi's in Oxon Hill ......

Not really effective at stopping a virus from coming or going.. maybe false security like wearing gloves everywhere, but no real protection.
