Normally, when i disagree with someone posting on this site, I start my comments with " with due respect". That won't be the case today.
I always have a great deal of skepticism on any story where someone bashes anyone when it's a 1 sided story. It's easy to make any claim the poster wants because there is no one to respond to their claims. That's true in this thread, so, I don't believe the story the way it's presented.

What I really have a problem with is that the poster has labeled the sheriff's department as "the Gestapo" . Do you have any idea what you're doing here? The "Gestapo" was a cruel, murderous wing of the NAZI party. They were responsible for thousands (Perhaps many, many more) of deaths. Do you really want to compare that to your brother's license plate story, where maybe a clerk in the sheriffs office or perhaps the MVA made a small error. If you think that's a reasonable comparison, you have exposed yourself as an incredibly stupid cop hater. I have no use for you or any opinion you hold. Really, think about what you're doing.

I know cop haters exist, we'll never be rid of your ilk. You make me sick!

How about just 'jack booted thug'? Why do you whine? The constant harping of "nazi" this "nazi" that gets extremely tiresome. CPUSA's use of gestapo was fine because the word has evolved to basically mean jack booted thug, absent any connotation of, or reference to, actual nazis. Seems that you are a butt hurt person finding offence where none was intended. Or you are simply a virtue signaler, which, really makes you a butt hurt person looking for things to whine about.

Plus, they were the highest profile of the literal hundreds of police agencies in 1930's - 1940's Germany.
I think your critic is confusing them with the Schutzstaffel, aka SS, which were responsible for the mobile death units and extermination camps.
Before them, the Sturm Abteilung were like today's "Antifas."
