Also they will just sit and have Christmas parties, watch movies those 2 days. It's going to be a ghost town anyways for all the families that have left town for Christmas.

sounds like a problem with the school system and not the fact that they don't get off certain days. But if they're giving off 2 weeks...why wouldn't it be this week and next week, returning to school on the 4th? weird.

:yeahthat: I am happy they are off tomorrow and Tuesday. We have been out twice already and clothes are drying again for round 3.

I took my son's gifts to his teacher on Friday just incase - and my son's school upped the scheduled Santa visit to Friday as well, so they did not miss out on that. :yay:

:yeahthat: We've been doing that yesterday and today. Get soaking wet outside, throw everything in the dryer while we are enjoying hot chocolate and then by the time we're done, the clothes are dry again and we head back out. This is great!!

Calvert County Public Schools Closed (Code Yellow for 12-Month Employees)

* Schools closed due to inclement weather for all students and 10 and 11-month employees.
* All emergency personnel report as usual.
* For Monday, December 21, all other 12-month employees report 2 hours late (Code Yellow). Twelve-month employee working hours for Tuesday, December 22 will be determined on Monday.
* Liberal leave is in effect. Employees must notify their immediate supervisor.
* All after school and evening activities are canceled.
