This is one reason I have a fake tree

The Hawaiian animal authorities would have had their panties in a wad if they knew a lizard made it over.

Have heard of this:
XMas morning it looked like the tree was moving, on close inspection it was spiders moving, not the tree.
Threw it out the front door - ornaments and all!!!

That wasn't a snake, it was a worm.

Think it was some sort of cameleon, watched it go from pale green to a dark green to match the tree. It must have been going nuts with the lights and ornaments

Luckily, we had just put the tree up and it had no ornaments on it yet. My dad bravely grabbed the infested evergreen and launched it out the back door.

Couple hours later, they had all left the tree, and we hosed it with bug spray just to make sure. It eventually went back into the house to be decorated, sans spiders.
