So, I hadn't seen this movie in a ton of years. Saw it at the library, new remastered version, so I took it home to watch it.
I couldn't believe half of what I was watching...
You know the famous "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work we go" song? Well, the first time you ever hear them sing it is when they are..... GOING HOME!!! They were DONE with work and going home, so shouldn't have been "it's off to home we go" ??
Snow White just invites herself in to their home, and proceeds to do whatever the hell she wants. GOOD LIFE LESSON for young kids!! When confronted by the dwarfs, she sits up and asks who they are and why they were there! WTH!!!
And some of the things done then would be SO not PC today.... dwarfs, a sight gag about stereo-typical Chinese, and on and on.....
And the movie end was not as I remembered... Sleeping Beauty gets a kiss, wakes up, and rides off into the sunset with Prince Charming. Completely leaving the dwarfs who cared for her, watched over her, built her a glass and gold case.... she just ups and leaves with little more than a good bye, never to return!!!!! If I was one of the dwarfs, I would have benn all like, WTH girl!!
This film would NEVER had made it past today's censors and continuity auditors!
