Here are a few shots I took while feeding the horses and other animals this morning. It was still snowing so they are dark. I'll have to go out again in a little while after my coveralls, boots and gloves dry and take a few with the sun out.

Remember you cameras will underexpose do to all the white snow in the picture. This will make things look dark and grayish. Set your camera to overexpose by +1. This will be EV+1, or one stop over normal exposure. Check your manuals for your camera.

I went out and took pictures with the camera set to Auto.. they came out blue and grey.

Set ISO all the way to the minimum.. 100 on my camera.. Exposure to +1 and white balance down to -2..

HUGE difference. can actually see the color of the wood on the playground. I'm waiting for the pictures to download right now, but will post them as soon as they are done to show you the difference.

nikon has a BIG A.. which lets me set the Exposure, ISO, White Balance, aperature, and it sets the shutter speed..
