So do the palm trees have to come down?

I thought that was a rumor?

They had a stop work order some months before for the new bathrooms, etc. but that was resolved.

I talked to a couple of neighbors who were complaining about the sand. They were concerned that it would run into the sewer system. Is there a sewer system there? I also spoke to the owner's Dad who seemed to be very proud of what they had done there. IMHO it looked a lot better on opening day then it had before. I think the sand, tables and chairs and palm trees were a great touch. I also heard about the stop work order from the neighbors. They believed that work had proceeded despite the orders. Don't know about that...

I heard something this last weekend about this. From what I heard they did not have the proper permits to have the palm trees sand etc. and that it all had to be removed this week. I don't know anyone that has been over there since then though.

These neighbors are just dreaming up a complaint out of thin air. There's so much sand all over the place in Solomons that the tiny bit at the Tiki Bar isn't gonna make a bit of difference.

If its their property they should be able to put trees up. I say we chain ourselves to the trees in outrageous protest. The owners can bring Mai Tais to show their appreciation.

:howdy: to all the formies and friends that ended up at the Tiki last night. :alkies:
I think everything should stay as it is. The improvements and open beachy area make a big difference in the Tiki experience :yay:

Stay away from the Cajun Margaritas. DEADLY stuff :lmao: Maybe it was the quantity of tequila, it makes me :jameo:

No, I stuck to the Kokomos. :yum: Maybe I'll have to try that and see if it has the same effect on me.

I think I need to wander down to the Tiki this afternoon and see the sand before it goes away. :buddies:

:tap: Did you go? The only bad thing is people putting out cigs in the sand. No ashtrays were seen on the back tables.
