So, our street signs post has been stolen. Not the street sign, just the wooden post. Thieves were nice enough to cleanly pull the post directly up. The hole is perfectly square. Then they unscrewed the screws holding the sign to the top of the post and left that there next to the hole.

Pretty weird.

Wood has gotten pretty expensive, maybe theirs needed replaced but they want to keep the same name on their streets so they didn't need your street sign

Have to easier ways to get a 4x4 than pulling it in darkness and unscrewing the sign for a $20 piece of wood that's been in the ground at least ten years. And Im pretty sure the state or county owns all of them now since they are legally required.

The way people use those posts for yard sales and lost cat signs it had to be like wrasslin a porkypine to get it free.
