So this is odd. Stolen street sign post

Maybe the town saw your post and picked the sign up to repair it.

Maybe, but it's the county, and the odds are low. The cops whom came to take a report did say they would check with MDOT and county to see if they owned the sign, or, since it's a private road, us residents do. And it was only on the ground for 24 hours.

The way people use those posts for yard sales and lost cat signs it had to be like wrasslin a porkypine to get it free.

Not so much down here between the green door and the college. I don't think I've ever seen anything stapled to it in the 10 years I've been here

Turns out it's County Public works that owns street signs. Of course, after letting it ring about three minutes, no joy there yet.

My aunt had her road sign stolen a couple weeks during a scavenger hunt apparently. She still has the post. Maybe I can connect you two to negotiate something.

The Springsteen ct. sign has been stolen at least 20 times.
