Even using the secured online system still takes a few months for changes to bank info to take affect.
Folks, if you don't already have a MySocialSecurity account, get one. Like, today. Don't you want to see your earnings and what you will qualify for? If you're already retired, don't you want to see your account information and make your life easier managing it?

Or you can sign up for a login.gov account. That single account can be used for multiple federal agencies.

Except for the IRS direct file, they use ID Me which I belive is acceptable for the SSA.
I use ID.me for the VA and SSA.

I looked into that one too. ID.me is a private company. login.gov is a government entity. I work in cybersecurity and don't trust anyone.
