It's Waldorf Jr.!! Thank God I don't have to go to work and deal with that crap. Everyone says "get a job on the base" or with one of the contractors..NO WAY! I'd be in jail because I'd have jacked somebody up!

Sadly, if no one lets them in, they'll just skip the turn lane altogether, and make a sharp right from 235 on to 4 north. That's where most of the gridlock that I was talking about came from - those people were blocking those of us coming from St. Andrew's.

It's all a mess, no matter which angle you look at it.

Oh yeah, I've seen that happen on a daily basis too. I've even seen the SAME cars do it on a regular basis. I've said before, but - when there is a merging/yield right turn prior to a light, it is implied that you are not to turn right AT the light. But since there is currently no sign saying you can't then those A$$HATS will do it every day. If the County (or SHA or whoever) would put up a sign saying "no right turn at light" and the cops would enforce it certainly would help the situation and they could make good money off of fines for a while...the sign would pay for itself in the first coupel of days!!! And I've seen those signs at lights in Maryland so I know they exist. Don't know why this county hasn't done it yet.

I keep telling my friends that I'm just gonna start being one of those people so I can knock 30-40 minutes off of my commute when traffic is heavy like that...but then every time the situation occurs I just can't bring myself to do it!!!

That's another part of the problem. If they would just park an officer in a visible location at the intersection, and allow them to chase down the aggressively dumb people, we'd see a dramatic decrease in problems.

10 years ago I worked with a guy that was on the St Mary's planning commission when they were beginning to develop the area along 235 down to the base. He was proud of all the development that was coming in and gave me grief about how unfriendly Calvert was to retailers (like I had anything to do with it ).

I told him then that Lexington Park could have all that mess. I'm (mostly) happy to drive far to shop, but drive quick to work.

WHY do you stupid people in the right turning lane, who have been sitting and waiting your turn since the light at Kmart or before that in some cases, let all the A$$HATS-who just drive on up to right before the turn onto 4-in front of you? You do realize that if YOU and the rest of the do-gooders woulnd't let in every car that pulls up in front of you then traffic wouldn't be near as jacked up as it is. After all, these A$$HATS waited NO MINUTES IN LINE so why should they be priviledged and just slip on in when they get to the turn? Last week I rolled down my window and told a lady in her Mercedes SUV who tried to bully her way in front of me by doing the "inch up right to the front quarter panel of my car" thing, that she was gonna have to hit my car to get in front of me - but she could go right ahead because I'd like to have a new car. F those people - 90 percent of them have a f'n base sticker on the front windshield of their car so they KNOW the drill...MAYBE if I saw out of state tags and no base sticker I'd let someone in...but NOT those "my time is WAY more important than your's so I'm just gonna get in front of you" F**KERS!

:Rant Over:

Totally agree. The worst is when you've been waiting in that right lane forever and some asshats start driving all the way up to the intersection in the lane to our left, then actually make the 90 degree turn onto 4 AT THE INTERSECTION. Where are the police when you need them. That whole intersection is jacked. I wish I had an older car, I'd just start running into people.
