BUT having said that, in my retired after career, I was a bailiff in Leonardtown a few months...... Is the water tainted with rocket fuel down there?

It may very well be an Amish name. Goetz is a name that originated in Southern and Southwestern Germany where many Amish also originated.
While not real common it is a name that is spread out somewhat in my part of NWPA.

855 is a Foreign Exchange, or FX, out of the Marlboro Central Office that is trunked down to some areas in Calvert County. It was a service available from C&P Telephone Co/Bell Atlantic for an additional charge to allow your callers to avoid long distance charges when calling from a Washington area exchange.
