Sonic Restaurant

Darwin was right
A new movie theater, a Sonic,...Whens the roller skating rink and go cart track coming in? I still wish Bonefish Grill would build in St. Marys somewhere.
Then I could get my bang bang on every Wednesday nite.

I'd rather eat the hotdogs at the skate rink than anything I have tried at the BF Grill. Nice atmosphere but honest hotdogs cooked on one of those roller things is better than overpriced microwave food.

You guys seem to be forgetting who the Sonic workforce will be: locals.

Remember the Cracker Barrel experiment? Is that place even still open?

Its only vanilla ice cream and orange slush mixed together, if it comes out tasting funky, I'll have them remake it how ever many times it takes, until it tastes right :killingme

In My Opinion
:barf: that place is nasty! I'd rather eat Mcdonalds... off the floor... of their bathroom..... after I peed on the floor.....

Wife brought a sonic burger home for me last week,
it was, without any doubt the nastiest tasting burger I have ever had. One bite and the rest went in the trash.

Effectively killing my craving for diet cherry limeade and tots. Most of the joy of yawner restaurants like Cracker Barrel and Sonic are their inaccessibility. They are a vacation treat. Part of an excursion. Once they're in my backyard they become WalMart, and who cares.

A chain is a chain, but one you don't have at home - that you can only get when you're traveling somewhere else - is appealing. The new Sonic will be about 1.5 miles from my house and I'll bet I never set foot in the thing.

There is no "in" to a sonic.

Many, MANY years ago there was a chain of fast food places with gift shops called "Stuckey's." Back in the day their food and service were exceptional. They primarily serviced interstate highways, as I recall. One of their best gift shop items was hard taffy. Never stopped at a Sonic that I know of, but I do recall that they've been around for a very long time, surviving the onslaught of competition.

I would bet you are correct. I don't see you flipping burgers there, especially since it's a chain :faint:

Will you be using the drive thru???

Exactly this. Most of the time when we make the drive down to visit the husband's family we stop at a Sonic. Not because they are awesome, at best they are mediocre, but because we can't get it at home. It's the same every time, we get really excited about it and after we finish our food we're left with a sense of "Yeah, that was okay."

That sort of defeats the purpose, like going to a chinese resturant and ordering pizza.

Talk to the Sonic people. I'm just telling you that there are indeed Sonics with indoor seating, and I'd guess that this one will have it as well. #1, it will be in a shopping complex; #2, it gets cold enough here that people don't want to sit in their cars in the winter.
