The Local...

I have given this place 3 tries. All of them FAILS.

First time was 3 days after opening. Out of the special. Out of straws (huh??), and tried to upcharge for replacing ribeye steak with hamburger meat on a sandwich!

Second attempt was 1 month after opening. Almost same scenario. Out of the special. Out of a certain alcohol. Server was rude. Flies all over the place. Dirty tables.

3rd and final attempt. They actually had the food we ordered BUT, took about 45 minutes (this was a Monday evening with 2 other tables seated and 4 other people in the entire place) and the food still came out barely luke warm. Food was obviously thrown together and pre-packaged. Also, tables were filthy and flies everywhere. Finally, they mixed up the checks and gave us a check costing $45 more.

I desperately want to patronize local places however THIS Local will NOT be getting any more of my business.

Like I said, I really want to patronize local places but, it just seems that this one has never quite been on track. Typically, it takes a new "chain" place about 6 months to fall off once the "local talent" takes over and the corporate openers leave. This place is a small, local place and I expected better. Even from the start they have had issues. Oh well. Don't think I am asking for much. Clean place to eat, food available that is on the menu, and hot food.

I’ve liked it every time I’ve been there, but the wife has had issues the last couple of times. I’ve really liked the breakfast the best.

I get it. I too prefer to spend my money with a locally owned business, but not if they're crappy.

If you mean crappy service, dirty environment, missing menu items, and being overcharged for luke warm mediocre food as "authentic local experience" then... Yes.
There are probably 2 places in the area that I would say are dependable and serve great food that are not chain places (and I am also NOT saying I like chain places any better) and that is pretty sad.

I know of two and one is a chain.

Any yea, that is what I meant. Too many good jobs for people to work hard in the hospitality industry for low pay.

Ive eaten there 2 times with no issues. My steak sub was excellent and I'd rate it as one of the 3 top places for a steak and cheese. Next time it was the burger and that was really good also.
