Putting the word "macho" and Stephen Colbert together in a sentence would never have occured to me. I've often wanted to reach through the internet and punch his smarmy, sanctimonious face into the middle of next month.

Then I read this: "Many have related to Colbert due to the unbearable losses in his family - his father James and two brothers Peter and Paul died in a 1974 plane crash followed by the 2013 death of his mother Lorna at age 92." I don't relate to that at all. Not. at. all. Dude, GTF over it. Move on. Jeebus. Take the Xanax, if that's what you need to do. 1974. WTAF!

I think that the article has been misattributed to his wife, I think it's actually from his publicist.

My dad died on his birthday 12 years ago. My mom on 30 September 2020. Have lost a lot of other folks important to my life.
While I feel their loss in my life, they'd all come back from beyond and kick my behind if I wallowed in grief.
