Just sneakin' around....
I had a Trailer break loose, at the welds on the hitch, and try to pass me coming off of the GW Bridge in NY/NJ.
I could have been in that condition. Neighbor bought a boat and asked me to tow it from NY to here, but I didn't have a brake controller at that time, so I declined.

Find out later that as they were pulling out of the rest stop in Delaware on 95, the ball hitch sheared. Boat flipped over a guardrail and into the median. Total loss.

Worst I ever personally experienced was watching the 18' canoe, that was supposed to be on the roof, sail past me and into a guardrail.

For your consideration ...

Years ago. Watching a semi's truck tire bouncing along on the southbound lane of 495 then jumping the barrier into your northbound lane, will defiantly create a certain pucker factor. Super glad I missed it after watching it plow into the center bumper area of car behind me making it look like the car crashed into a tree. It hit that hard, and still kept bouncing for a bit longer. So now, not only do I scan ahead of me for idiots, but the opposing side as well for runaway tires.

I think we identified Douglas Courigan’s mapmaker.
Thought the Corrigan story was a charade that got a little out of hand when people believed he didn't know where he was after landing in Ireland.
